2.6.16-CITI_NFS4_ALL-2 regression tests

Tests performed

NFSv4 is tested using multiple tools on the same configuration but we are now using the linux 2.6.16-CITI_NFS4_ALL-2 kernel and CITI patch.

Test #1 : connectathon

• Client and server are running linux.

Test #2 : fstress:

• fsstress is run in various configurations and parameters

• Tests are done with various number of subprocess : 2, 4, 8, 16, 32

• Tests are done with a various lenth of instructions lists: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128

  Test #3 : fsx

• fsx is run with 50000 iterations (From LTP configuration)

Test #4 : Iozone

• Run Vincent's tests (integrated into the Linux Test Project) with 100 processes

Test #5 : locks testing

• Run iozone -ace -U mountpoint

Test #6 : ACL testing

• Client and server are running ACL CITI implementation

Results

Test #1 : connectathon

• Test run with success.

Test #2 : fstress:

• Test runs 2 hours without any failure.

Test #3: fsx

• Test run with success.

Test #4: locks

• Test run with success with 100 processes

Test #5: ACLs

Core 2.6.16-CITI_NFS4_ALL-2 NFSv4 functions should be considered as stable. It fixes bugs found at Connectathon 2006 and Oops that appeared within in 2.6.15-CITI_NFS4_ALL-3.

Software configuration

•  Server:
• Export options are : /export         <world>(rw,wdelay,insecure,no_root_squash,no_subtree_check,fsid=0)
• mount options, NFSv4 : rsize=32768,wsize=32768,timeo=14,intr,noauto
• kerberos not used
• fsstress -l 0 -d /mnt/benchs_nfs/tmp/ -n <operation_sequence_lenght> -p <number_of_process> -r
